What better way to dive into the world of crafting than with an adult craft kit? These handy little packages of joy are a creative escape in a box – minus sourcing supplies, thinking, and start-up costs. Admittedly, though, the line between cute and cringe can be pretty thin. So here are some of the DIY kits I’ve tried and loved . . . so far! (And then even a few that are on my wishlist.)
Craft Kits I’ve Tried
1. Shell Night Light Kit – Aliexpress
Rating: 8/10
Time to complete: Around an hour
Skill level: Beginner
Comments: This kit is up there as an all-time favourite of mine. It was super easy and fun to do – plus, the finished project works as an utterly adorable decor piece. The only reason I’m docking a few points is because it doesn’t come with instructions – but there are instructions available online.
2. Mini Library Book Nook Kit – Amazon
Rating: 10/10
Time to complete: Four/five hours
Skill level: Beginner friendly – but a bit finicky at parts
Comments: Another great high-quality find! I really enjoyed this craft – and the finished product is adorable yet subtle enough to blend into your bookshelf.
4. Lily Of The Valley Nightlight Kit – Aliexpress
Rating: 7/10
Time to complete: 1-2 hours
Skill level: Medium
Comments: This craft wasn’t too challenging but it’s another one that came without instructions – and was a ton more finicky than the night light kit. Even so, the finished project is super cute so I still recommend it!

As I test out more kits, I’ll update this list 🙂
